We run classes from our own studio, and within schools, colleges and universities. The wonderful world of comics, manga & graphic novels can help both kids and teens achieve much higher standards in their general creative writing and artistic skills, and ACAS is breaking new ground by generating Singapore’s first ever full Comic Syllabus.

ACAS are proud tenants of the Goodman Arts Centre (GAC). Knicknamed ‘The CASTLE’ (The Comic Association’s Studio for Teaching, Learning & Execution) Our 106sq/m facility is home to two classrooms and full art studio.

Our Traditional Art Courses
Held at ‘The CASTLE’, ACAS has a range of weekly classes to cater for everyone - Petit (ages 6-8 for beginners), Protege (ages 9-12 for beginners), Apprentice (ages 13 and above for beginners to intermediate), Maestro (ages 16 and above for the advanced) and LOL (caricaturing course, ages 16 and above). Mature students are also very much encouraged.

Certificates are awarded for each of the three-module stages - Bronze, Silver and Gold, and vary in length; from 1 to 3 months depending on the course. We therefore like to work with students for a minimum of three to nine months. And there’s always more to learn, so we advise everyone to continue indefinitely!

All materials and worksheets are supplied, and as the classes are ongoing, students are able to start at any point of the year - this is the same for all ACAS courses.

Our Digital Art Courses
‘The CASTLE’ is home to Singapore’s first ever specialist comic colouring course. With an eye firmly on the future and the importance of professional practices, the purpose designed syllabus gently introduces beginners to pen tablet technology and specialist software - exploring the latest in digital colouring, drawing, inking, lettering and total page completion techniques.

Students range from age 10 to mature - D-Protege (ages 10-12 for beginners), D-Apprentice (ages 13 and above for beginners to intermediate), D-Maestro (ages 16 and above for the advanced).

Certificates are awarded for each of the three-module stages - Bronze, Silver and Gold, and each are approximately 3 months in length. Again, we like to advise everyone to continue indefinitely for a maximum learning experience.
